Day 1: Transfer to Lovina (from airport or other location in Bali). Stay in an hotel, a couple of minutes walk from the beach. (with AC and swimming pool).
Late afternoon we visit Brahma Vihara Arama, a Buddhist monastery. We walk through the lush gardens and admire the mini replica of Borobudur.
Next we visit the holy baths of Banjar, with natural, sulphurous healing water of around 37 degrees. For the Balinese it is a spiritual experience. Tourists may take baths too, but with respectful swim gear.

Day 2: With a private car, a driver takes us 45 minutes to Tanah Barak Waterfall near Munduk. But our final destination is Jatiluwih another 3 hours drive. The area is known for its beautiful nature and the rice terraces are recognized as cultural heritage by UNESCO. We stay in a local family guesthouse, located at the end of a dead end street on the way to another famous temple, Batu Kara.

Day 3: A trekking through rainforest, rice fields and plantations. On the way we visit Batu Kara temple. The walk takes 4 to 5 hours. Once back you will be offered a nice Balinese meal.
